A clue for a congressman

7 07 2008

I got a email today from congressman Charlie Wilson Ohio 6th.

Dear Friends,

I’d like to hear from you! Periodically, I will reach out to you and ask for your opinion on important issues facing Congress. I value your opinion.

I hope you will take the time to answer this quick one-question survey and sign up for my e-newsletter to receive occasional updates on important issues and services for you and your family.

Sincerely,

Charlie Wilson
Member of Congress
Ohio’s 6th District

He included a multiple choice question.

What are the greatest challenges facing our educational systems?
funding issues
quality of education
lack of access
None

Ok, where do I start Congressman Wilson, First off the constitution does not give the federal government any over site of a states education. There is no reason to have a department of education. We don’t need three levels of bureaucracy to tell a teacher how to teach. The Billions of dollars that are wasted every year for the department of education is taxpayer money that can be saved. It is first the local school board with guidance from the state which sets a uniform standard for their citizens. You will say that since a past congress voted for it we must maintain it. NO, it is not in the constitution so it is unconstitutional. You want to improve America, then eliminate the unconstitutional parts of the government and the tax money that they waste.

Ohio needs to make education its top priority, not by limiting choice but by expanding it. The citizens of Ohio need to pay attention and elect people who only care about the children to the local school boards.

You need to do your part and follow the constitution and the people need to do theirs and be responsible.

Congressman fiddles while his electors burn with anger

4 07 2008

A few weeks ago I decided to tell my Congressman Charlie Wilson (no, not the one from the movie) of Ohio’s sixth district, that I was fed up with the price of gas. so I got on his website and left a very simple and direct message to him.

“Drill here, Drill now, or be Replaced”

I would think that I was in a chorus of voices telling Congressman Wilson that we need to increase supply to decrease prices.

Ohio’s 6th district is probably the most gerrymandered district in the nation. It starts on the south side of Youngstown, Ohio and goes south till it hits the Ohio river and then follows it for the next 100 miles, while its east-west depth is no more than 30 miles at any point. It is the text book definition of “rust belt”

Congressman Wilson’s campaign adds in 2006 made a point of him walking past closed businesses saying he would keep what jobs we have left here. The jobs are still leaving, and the surplus of labor is driving wages down while the cost of living goes up.

So, I get a reply from Congressman Wilson. in it he tries to change the subject from his responsibility to the voters to do as we say, to the evil oil company’s holding to much land in leases.

Since 2001, the price of a gallon of regular gasoline in Ohio has risen more than 130-percent. This is seriously squeezing working families, forcing small businesses to make painful decisions and hurting our economy. Bringing gas prices down will involve a series of steps, including the development of U.S. oil and gas resources on federal lands.

The first step is to focus on the millions of acres already leased for oil production that aren’t being used. Today, an estimated 68 million acres of onshore and offshore land leased by oil companies remain undeveloped.

Might that be because it can not be effectively developed?

According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), if the United States were to drill in the nearly 68 million acres of federal land currently available for lease to oil companies, the U.S. could produce an additional 4.8 million barrels of oil per day. That would nearly double total U.S. oil production and would be six times the estimated peak production from ANWR.

Again there might be that much oil there, but would it cost more per gallon to get it out?

Today, there are more than 91 million acres open to leasing in the Arctic region of Alaska, including onshore and offshore land. Of the available land, oil and gas companies have only leased 11.8 million acres. In addition, 80-percent of the oil available on the OCS is already open for leasing—but the oil companies haven’t committed the money to drill there. While I support the development of oil and gas resources on federal lands, I cannot support opening additional arctic land or more land on the OCS, until oil and gas companies begin to use the land already available to them.

Do you hear the sweet sound of a fiddle? I do.

I believe the government has worked hard to make the land available; now oil companies need to do their part. That’s why I have cosponsored HR 6251, the Responsible Federal Oil and Gas Lease Act. This important legislation would force oil and gas companies to either drill on or forfeit federal onshore and offshore leases.  Under this legislation, companies would be banned from obtaining any more leases unless they can demonstrate that they are producing oil and gas, or are diligently developing the leases they already hold.  Similar and effective rules already apply to coal companies.

You forgot to leave out the part where the federal rules are if a oil company does not develop a land by the end of ten years the lease expires. What, you thought we wouldn’t catch your disingenuous statements about how unfair the rules are towards the oil companys?

I know that out-of-control gasoline prices are a top concern of the residents of Ohio’s Sixth Congressional District. I promise I will continue to support legislation that will ease the burden that you and so many others are feeling because of gas prices.

Sincerely,

Charles A. Wilson
Member of Congress

Yes we are mad. we can not afford this and we see you dodging the issue. I am a voter hence I am your boss. Here is the legislation I want you to support.

Drill Here, Drill Now!

Or you will be replaced.

I would ask Murtha to apologize

5 06 2008

But I know better. Another falsely accused Marine has been acquitted. Did you hear that Murtha, you treasonous, liberal moon bat louse. My apologizes to any real louses offended by my comparison.

From the USAToday website.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (AP) — A Marine intelligence officer accused of trying to cover up the killings of 24 Iraqis appeared stunned at first when a jury acquitted him of the charges.

I’m sure he was stunned, the full force and weight of the federal government was poured into this bogus case because the journalist traitors listened to the enemy and brought the “embarrassment of PA” John “I am a veteran, so you cant question my treason now” Murtha, in to be their spokesman. Murtha slandered the US Military, and its honorable warriors.

Well, another case has fallen apart, BECAUSE NOTHING ILLEGAL HAPPENED, sorry for yelling. but the marines were fired upon, they returned fire and the coward terrorists hid behind their women and children, and kept firing till they were killed. the deaths are on their heads. Only treasonous, brainwarped, liberal moonbats think that marines kill innocents just for the hell of it.

The Marine in this case, 1st Lt. Andrew Grayson, Is the epitamy of a class act.

Grayson said early on in the case he refused a deal that would have reduced charges and kept him out of prison.

“I was the one that had to look at myself in the mirror. To take the easy way out, you are the one that has to live with that,” he said.

He could have taken a plea and hung the other marines, but he has more integrity than Murtha can ever impune. What a terrible waste of taxpayer money on this farce of a trial. And unfortunately there are more trials.

In a perfect wold, Murtha would be ran out off office for lying, sued for slander, and executed for Treason. His compatriots in journalism would be sued for libel and executed for treason. But like i said, in a perfect world.

Treasonous Twit on Parade # 4

28 05 2008

Today Kiddies, we look at one of the most shameless T2P’s ever. Rep. William “Dollar Bill” Jefferson A Democrat from Louisana. H/T to the Corruption Chronicles.

Dollar Bill’s lawyers tried to get most of the charges against him dropped, not because he didn’t do it, but they stated that he was influence peddling not taking bribes.

His lawyers argued that federal bribery laws apply to a congressman only if a bribe is exchanged for official action like taking votes or sponsoring legislation. In rejecting the argument, Judge Ellis ruled that prosecutors can broadly interpret what constitutes an “official act” under the law.

Jefferson has previously tried to get the charges against him dismissed by claiming that the bribery indictment unconstitutionally infringed on his privileges as a congressman. His attorneys actually argued that charges should be thrown out because grand jury testimony given by his staffers violated the Constitution’s speech and debate clause that protects legislative activity from intervention by other branches of government.

This is worst act of desperation I think we have ever seen. The Lawyers and Mr. Jefferson have no shame. My advice for the best defence I could provide is plead out, and you’ll see the sun again some day. But, he thinks so much of himself that he can do what ever he wants.

He is not above playing the race card either. He asked a judge to move his corruption trial from the jurisdiction (Virginia) where he was caught taking the $100,000 bribe on video because there aren’t enough blacks for the jury pool.

Justice may be blind but she doesn’t have a IQ of 5 either. What a waste of our oxygen.

Reason # 49 that Liberalism is a mental illness

24 05 2008
As it is Memorial Day weekend, I thought I would share how a liberal democrat, Rep. Pete Stark (CA-13), views our fine military. Wait for it…
With complete and utter contempt. In a letter reprinted over at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, go read it there I’ll wait till you get back, he disgraces the honor of these fine warriors for what he perceives as wasting taxpayers money watching how congress works. And you think that you can do it with impunity, your wrong again.
Why Representative Stark, do you think that understanding how our government functions is a concept below the capability of an officers thinking?
No, wait, do you think they were there to intimidate you? If so, you really are a paranoid, delusional popinjay.

Considering that you were debating a military spending bill at the time, you were just feeling guilty, because you were sticking another knife in their backs.

There is millions of dollars being wasted everyday in our government. You should be attending to that instead of a couple of hours of some officer’s pay.

They were probably envious; they do something to improve America. You’re getting paid and not improving America, I guess that makes you a goldbrick.

Dennis, Dennis, Dennis…

12 07 2007

I came across this on The Plain Dealer web site. I wish to forewarn you that the stupidity shown by the mentioned representative is shocking to sane voters and can be fixed by voting for someone who understands how the real world works.

Dennis Kucinich, the colorful Cleveland congressman and longshot presidential candidate, has outraged Jewish leaders in Northeast Ohio by insisting that Iran’s anti-Zionist leader is not seeking to exterminate Israel.

This is a surprise to me, Ahmadinejad has been real plain about what he says.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is regarded by many in the western world as a menace with nuclear ambitions, who recently called for supporters of Israel to, among other things, “burn in the fire of the Islamic nations’ fury.” Kucinich, however, says another translation of that and other statements is that Ahmadinejad merely wants regime change in Israel, not death to its people and supporters.

Wait, sound this out with me.

Regime Change… Burn in the Fire of the islamic nations fury? Funny, it doesn’t sound anything alike to me.

Kucinich’s position puts him in a slim minority in Congress – two, if you count Kucinich.

The sad thing is that they are both running for president. Ron Paul being the other genius.

They were the only House members to vote against a June 20 resolution condemning the Iranian leader and asking the U.N. Security Council to take up charges alleging violations of genocide conventions. Cleveland Democratic Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Lake County Republican Steve LaTourette were among the measure’s 103 co-sponsors.

A June 28 letter to Kucinich from Harley Gross, chairman of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, and Stephen Hoffman, the federation president, called Kucinich’s interpretation of Ahmadinejad’s statements “both tortured and a clear indication of either a lack of understanding of Israel’s enemies on your part or, and we hope that this is not the case, an antipathy toward Israel.”

I think its him just being stupid.

“Unfortunately, it goes beyond naive,” Alan Melamed, president of the Cleveland chapter of the American Jewish Committee, said in a phone interview Wednesday.

Dennis then tries a CYA move.

Kucinich sent a letter on Wednesday seeking to defend his actions, saying that, whatever the translation, he finds Ahmadinejad’s statements “objectionable and outrageous.” The letter to Hoffman and Gross asserted Kucinich’s “full support for the people of Israel.”

Then why did you say what you did in the first place? Nice try, no cigar.

Yet he said that he could not back the House resolution because it carried only worst-case translations and he regarded it as an attempt to beat “the war drum to build support for a U.S. attack on Iran.”

Oh the truth will out. You think us warning that Iran wants to destroy the only friend we have in the middle east, you are going to go all peace dove on us. Don’t forget that Ahmadinejad has ran his mouth on us as infidels! Youre a peace at any cost kind of guy, right? beware of what you wish for.

Hey Dennis, when Cleveland is a smoking crater, I’ll remember to call you to fill in the hole.

Stupid Moonbats…

Hey Pelosi, do you know what your Syrian Masters are up to?

11 07 2007

I have a cluebat to deliver to Speaker Pelosi. Help me apply it to her until sane.

First, from Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, In Case You Missed It, Another War Just Started

Syrian troops on Thursday reportedly have penetrated three kilometers into Lebanese territories, taking up positions in the mountains near Yanta in east Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.

The daily Al Mustaqbal, citing sources who confirmed the cross-border penetration, did not say when the procedure in the Fahs Hill overlooking Deir al-Ashaer in the Rashaya province took place.

The sources said Syrian troops, backed by bulldozers, were fortifying positions “in more than one area” along the Lebanese border, erecting earth mounds and digging “hundreds” of trenches and individual bunkers.

Where are the vaunted U.N. and their wonderful Smurfs? Oh, they’re right on it, we assure you:

So I asked Michael Young, opinion page editor at Beirut’s Daily Star, if the story was bogus.

“It is true,” he said, “but the problem is that the 3 kilometers are in isolated areas, so that it isn’t making headlines. However, the UN will be discussing border issues this week, I think, and that will be brought up. The Syrians are ratcheting up the pressure, but with the attack against UN troops in the south, they are, as one UN official put it, playing with fire.”

Meanwhile, the Syrian government is evacuating its citizens from Lebanon in advance of…something they expect to happen after July 15, 2007.

It’s going to be an interesting summer.

July 15th you mean the one 4 days from now?

Secondly from LGF, 200 Bomb Vests Imported from Syria.

Iraqi security forces have seized 200 explosive belts in a truck that crossed into Iraq from Syria on Wednesday, Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Abdul-Karim Khalaf said.

The incident occurred at the Waleed border crossing point, Khalaf said. The Iraqi government and US authorities have accused Syria of allowing foreign fighters to cross into Iraq, a claim that Syria denies, saying it is impossible to control the long desert border.

So, are you going to continue to appease these killers or realize your an idiot and let the sane people run the country.

This is why you should be tried for treason, you didn’t know what the frack you were doing! They talked nice and made you wear a scarf (because your inferior to them) and honored you for having a position that you would never have if you were in their country, or they ran this country. Then they laughed at how they used you to kill more of our soldiers. Your worse than a Fool. you cant see that they used you to advance islam and will kill you when they get the chance.

Update 6:45P Local Don’t forget Syria is ran by the Baath party. they are the same party as Sadam belonged to.
